TRANSP v24.8
New features in the release v24.8
- New Features
- Surrogate TGLFNN models (from FUSE) are implemented for TRANSP predictive runs.
- Depending on TGLFNN options, the surrogates are from 270 to 1600 times faster than the standalone TGLF model.
- Option to read separate ion temperature profiles for impurities from a UFile for interpretive runs:
- To use this option, temperature profiles vs time for ion impurities should be provided in a Ufile in the same format as the majority ion temperature profiles in the "TI2" Ufile. The file should be specified in the namelist by setting the variables PRETI3 and EXTTI3 to the appropriate prefix and suffix. You also need to set namelist variable NLTXPRO to .TRUE. to read in profile from the TRDAT buffer into the TX global variable; NLTI2TX to .FALSE. to avoid using TI as the impurity temperature; and NSLVTXI to 4 to use the Ufile TX value along with the UFile TI value in the ion temperature balance calculation.
- Density pump-out model for DIII-D.
- Bug Fixes
- Scripts that execute GPEC from the TRANSP code.
- Default settings for the spherical torus pedestal model.
- Restart functionality for some runs with RF modules enabled.
