New features in the release v24.1
This tshare release adds the IMAS compatibility to interfaces with external source modules. In particular, it introduces generatic IMAS interfaces for the EC, IC and NBI modules. The interfaces are tested for the TORBEAM module for the EC heating and current drive. Currently, TRANSP features two interfaces to the TORBEAM module: the traditional interface is employed when
EC_MODULE
is set to
"TORBEAM"
, while the IMAS interface is utilized when
EC_MODULE
is set to
"IMAS"
. In the latter scenario, the module name and EC parameters are configured by retrieving data from the
ec_launchers
IDS.
